ALShow is a multimedia player with integrated video and audio codecs that make playing audio and video files easier, without your having to search for codecs. Also ALShow integrates video capture and movie controls required when playing a DVD, as well as automatic codec updates and downloads when one is missing or required.
Video and audio capture can be performed when playing a video or movie; the program also makes screenshots from video files. Moreover, it includes a TV Out function, so users can watch videos and movies on a TV; of course the PC needs a proper video card with video out. The subtitles and caption functionality are really great! You can customize their color, size, font, position, depth and more.
Furthermore, ALShow has a feature called "bookmarks". As its name reads, you can bookmark movies or videos with names such as "favorite 1", at desired points in the video in order to go back there easily, without needing to remember the exact timing of those positions.
New features included in this version are: MPEG video and audio filter and support for FLV and M4V video format. They also improved MP4 audio codecs and DVD playback. Finally, the developers fixed a big list of bugs including program crashes when adding different videos like AVI, MP4, H.264 as well as Vista issues.
Compatible with Windows Vista, it is a great media player that also allows us to change its appearance through skins.
